Date – Monday 19th -Thursday 22nd October (4-days)
Who it's for:
Young people aged 14–18 who are interested in gaining hands-on experience of the world of work and exploring future career opportunities.
This placement is ideal for those who are curious, willing to learn, and keen to build confidence in a professional environment. Whether you already have a career in mind or are still exploring your options, this is a great opportunity to try something new, develop key skills, and get a real insight into how teams work day to day.
No previous experience is needed—just a positive attitude and a willingness to get involved!
What’s This All About?
Step into the world of project management and discover how major projects are planned, coordinated, and delivered. During this placement, you'll gain valuable insight into how teams work together to turn ideas into reality, helping to deliver improvements that benefit customers, communities, and the environment.
As this placement is designed to be flexible, your experience may vary depending on the projects and teams available during your visit. You might have the opportunity to attend planning meetings, learn how project timelines and budgets are managed, explore project risks and challenges, or see how different teams collaborate to achieve shared goals.
You'll gain a behind-the-scenes understanding of the project lifecycle, from initial planning and design through to delivery and completion. Along the way, you'll discover how communication, organisation, problem-solving, and teamwork play a vital role in keeping projects on track and ensuring successful outcomes.
