EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
With that in mind we’re looking for a Water Resources Analyst to join our Demand Forecasting team at our head office in Coventry (Severn Trent Centre).
The Demand Forecasting Team plays a key role by producing forecasts that inform future asset investment strategies for Severn Trent (ST) and Hafren Dyfrdwy (HD), supporting AMP8 (2025 to 2030) investment plans and beyond. Working closely with hydrologists and hydrogeologists within the wider Water Resources Strategy Team, they contribute to the Water Resources Management Plan, Business Plan submissions and annual regulatory reporting.
As a Water Resource Analyst in our team, you will learn about Water Resource planning and regulation. The role will help you apply and develop your existing analytical skills.
Key accountabilities include:
- Analyse data to identify trends, ensure robust data management and support forecasting models for future Business Plans and Water Resource Management Plans
- Track our current performance against our PR24 Business Plan and WRMP24 for key metrics, for Severn Trent and Hafren Dyfrdwy
- Derive insight from performance against our plans, and use this understanding to inform future investment plans
- Engage with colleagues and Regulators to deliver annual reporting, performance commitments and improvements,
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
This role is deal for someone keen to learn and develop their skills. You’ll bring an interest in working with data, including analysing datasets, identifying trends and generating insights, alongside a desire to build your forecasting and analytical capabilities.
While prior knowledge of supply and demand planning, demand management and relevant legislation is beneficial, a genuine interest in learning about regulatory frameworks and developing confidence in engaging with stakeholders and regulators is important.
