This is a fantastic opportunity working as a New Talent Resourcing Manager with us at Severn Trent, to inspire and attract our next generation of technical experts and leaders into a career in our wonderful water industryYou will be leading a small, incredibly passionate, team and be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of our New Talent attraction and selection strategy.

 

Working in a fast-paced environment, you will be recruiting high volumes, typically 200+ roles, across our apprenticeship, graduate, year in industry and summer intern programmes.

Some of your key accountabilities will include:

  • Collaborate with Hiring Managers, New Talent Programme Managers and HR Business Partners to validate programme requirements for each campaign, both annual and ad-hoc. Ensuring we are ready to go to market and deliver an attraction & selection strategy that meets the skills needs of the business. 
  • Planning, designing and delivering our attraction & outreach strategy, reflecting the needs of individual new talent programmes and aspiring to attract a diverse talent pool. With the aim of reaching & inspiring over 9,000 people across our communities a year, through events, social media and partnerships with local community groups, schools, universities and outreach partners.
  • Design, manage and oversee the end-to-end selection process of our new talent candidates, including application, selection and on-boarding. Ensuring that we deliver a great candidate experience and our selection methods are fit for purpose and designed without any adverse impact.
  • Own the success measures and KPI’s for our attraction & selection strategy, adapting plans to ensure we’re reaching all parts of our communities and driving continuous improvements in our selection process.
  • Work closely with our external stakeholders and partners, including assessment providers, schools, colleges, universities and outreach partners. Effectively managing the relationship and any commercial arrangements to deliver the strategy.
  • Using engagement and satisfaction feedback to identify and implement improvements that will enhance our candidate & hiring manager experience.
  • Oversee the offer and on-boarding process, keeping successful candidates informed and engaged, generating excitement before they start their learning journey with us.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to managers and ensure all activities comply to relevant HS&W, SafeGuarding, Company and legal standards such as; right to work, GDPR etc.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

 

We’re looking for a candidate who has managed high volume recruitment campaigns across multiple locations, business functions and disciplines.

 

Previous experience of working within an early careers recruitment environment and a strong understanding of early careers recruitment methods and assessments would be required for the role.

 

Having a broad understanding of; apprenticeships, intern and graduate development programmes. Ideally within a utilities or similar industry would be desirable.

 

Due to the nature of the role, flexibility to work outside of normal working hours and the ability to travel for events and assessment centres will be required.

 

You’ll be a strong planner and organiser, who enjoys working at pace and is comfortable multi-tasking and managing a variety of campaigns and timelines. With an ability to flex your style to suit a variety of different audiences, from students to Senior Leaders.
