Expression of interest for Regional Operational Leadership roles
Various locations across the East / West Midlands
Speculative applications / talent pooling

We’re always on the lookout for people who want to join the heart of our organisation, the bit that has the buzz that just never stops, and if you live in the Midlands and have a background in regional field teams’ leadership, we’d love to hear from you.

About us

Our operation is a large one. 24 hours a day, 365 days a year we serve 4.8 million households and business across the heart of the UK. Each cuppa drank, every toilet flushed is only possible because of the 6,500 brilliant team members working across our patch – and that’s why we always need great people to join & lead our operational teams right across our region.

Our regional operational leadership roles vary depending on the area of the business. They could be leading the teams fixing pipes, finding leaks, reading meters, stopping sewer flooding or running & maintaining our process plants. However, they all work towards the same outcomes; better serving our customers, the communities where they live and the environment.

Typical responsibilities include;

  • Leading and developing a large multidisciplinary operational team spread across a county or a large region
  • Overseeing a regional operation to ensure efficient and effective service delivery while maintaining an exceptional health, safety, environmental and customer performance
  • Identify, implement and manage performance improvement initiatives designed to increase operational efficiency, customer service, or environmental performance.

Who we’re Looking For:

We’re looking for experienced operational leaders who are used to leading large (100+) teams of operators/maintainers/technicians/engineers (or similar) across a multisite/regional environment.

Whilst experience in the water industry would be very welcome it’s not essential. Instead, we’re keen to hear from people in other industries such as;

  • Utilities (e.g., gas, electricity)
  • Manufacturing
  • Logistics and Supply Chain
  • Construction
  • Environmental Services / Waste Management
  • Armed forces

We welcome people from all walks of life and celebrate individuality as we know diverse minds, experiences and backgrounds help us to learn and better serve our communities. We want people who show up and get involve. Those who are ready to be part of something bigger and who want to make a difference because they care. Is that you?

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU

Working here isn’t just a job. You can build a career at Severn Trent. We’ll reward you for it, too. We have a range of benefits that recognise great work, and award-winning training to help you reach your potential. And we’ll also help you play your part in looking after the environment and the communities where we live.

WHATS NEXT?

If you are interested in joining our talent pool for future regional operational leadership roles, please submit your CV and we’ll be in touch when the time is right.
