EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

 

Our Bioresources team have an opportunity for you to join as our new Bioresources Operations Manager.

 

In your new role, you’ll be responsible for delivering industry leading performance from our bioresources assets through excellent leadership and technical skills, while looking to win new business and deliver profitable growth.

 

You’ll be accountable for the operation and maintenance of bioresources assets on all 26 sites with Sludge Treatment Centres, ensuring maximum availability and operability to deliver the expected outputs. You’ll also lead a large (c 150fte) dispersed team, delivering the highest standards of output an exceeding commitments to customer and regulators.

 

Additionally, you’ll be responsible for overall operating budget of c.£10m and revenue generation associated with energy production of c.£30m, while being accountable for the health, safety and wellbeing of all field teams working on Bioresources assets.

 

Some of your other key accountabilities will include:

 

  • Establish great working relationships with all stakeholders e.g., EA, Waste Treatment teams and other stakeholders, while leading an engaged team to deliver best in class O&M performance from Bioresources assets.
     
  • Contribute to and constructively challenge any poor performing aspects of the end-to-end deliverables and overall strategy.
     
  • Lead input to future asset strategy and working with asset creation teams as an integral role in decision making associated with priorities for asset investment and opportunities.
     
  • Deliver target energy generation performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement using SBF tools and techniques.  

 

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

 

We’re seeking our new Operations Bioresources Manager to be comfortable developing and growing capability in a commercial environment with ambitious growth plans, while building a healthy talent pipeline and environment where individuals can grow and learn.

 

To be successful in this role, it’s expected that you’ll have experience of running operations and maintenance teams on a multi-site basis. Strong performance management skills with experience of a performance led culture and have the ability to deliver a high standard of customer service with a significant Asset Intensive field-based operations.

 

Additionally, you’ll have an understanding of anaerobic digestion process with a track record of implementing ideas to improve efficiency and deliver value.

 

As travel is required, you’ll also hold a full U.K driving licence.
