Join us in making a positive impact on the environment and our communities, while being valued and supported in a truly inclusive workplace.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

We have a great opportunity for you to join our Water Quality and Environment team as a WINEP Assurance Analyst. In this role you will be responsible for facilitating the tracking of WINEP/NEP scheme delivery, coordinating change requests, and ensuring end-of-year sign-off of WINEP/NEP obligations to the Environment Agency (EA) and Natural Resources Wales (NRW).

This includes understanding the requirements throughout the delivery cycle to provide timely and detailed information to the Permitting Team for permit compliance. You will collaborate across the business to ensure holistic delivery of all WINEP/NEP obligations, providing updates within the organisation for both wastewater and clean water projects, and act as the go-to person for understanding and reporting on the end-to-end delivery of obligations to the regulator. Some of your other key accountabilities will include:

  • Track and submit change requests to EA/NRW for WINEP/NEP obligations; support EPA 4* rating through evidence and assurance.
  • Monitor capital projects using dashboards; escalate risks to Delivery Leads and Strategic Leaders.
  • Liaise with PMO and Project Managers; ensure quality evidence for regulatory sign-off and maintain tracking documents.
  • Collaborate across teams and with regulators; drive process improvements and manage shared documentation platforms.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

In order to be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have experience in data analysis and working with large amounts of data. They should possess knowledge of waste treatment processes or capital project delivery, along with familiarity with environmental licensing and permitting regimes. Strong planning, organization, and highly developed project management and administration skills are essential.

The candidate must have a proven track record of meeting deadlines and demonstrate confidence in identifying and recommending improvements, seeing these changes through to implementation. Additionally, proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including SharePoint, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint, is required.

Skills and experience are important, but character, positivity, and a caring attitude matter too. We welcome and celebrate diverse individuals, knowing they help us better serve our communities. We seek people who get involved, want to be part of something bigger, and make a difference because they care.
