Portfolio PMO - Water & Waste Networks

Our innovation strategy is simple - We want to solve the challenges we have today as well as find answers to some of our industry’s bigger long-term challenges. Whether it's delivering water that is always good to drink, reducing waste in our processes with energy efficient technologies or improving visibility of the network, our 150+ strong team of innovators are working day in day out to make it happen.

Join us in shaping the future of innovation.

Are you passionate about driving innovation and ensuring project excellence? We’re looking for a Portfolio PMO – Water & Waste Networks to lead governance, assurance, and delivery oversight across our Innovation portfolio.

You’ll be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking team that values creativity, curiosity, and continuous improvement. This is your chance to make a real impact—driving innovation that benefits our business, our partners, and our communities.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • Monitoring project delivery to ensure alignment with agreed scope, timelines, and quality standards
  • Conducting governance reviews and checkpoint assessments to validate progress and compliance
  • Providing second-line oversight to challenge delivery risks, assumptions, and mitigation plans
  • Ensuring project controls (e.g. RAID logs, change control, reporting) are consistently applied and effective
  • Tracking delivery performance against business case benefits and strategic objectives
  • Facilitating escalation of delivery risks and issues to the appropriate governance forums
  • Supporting senior stakeholders with transparent reporting and evidence-based insights
  • Driving continuous improvement by identifying delivery trends, lessons learned, and areas for intervention

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Proven experience in PMO or project delivery roles with a focus on governance and assurance
  • Strong communication skills to engage stakeholders and challenge delivery risks constructively
  • Financial and commercial awareness to support benefit tracking and investment oversight
  • Ability to empower delivery teams to make informed decisions, while ensuring timely escalation of risks through appropriate governance channels
  • Experience applying governance frameworks, tools, and controls to ensure delivery integrity

Of course, it’s important that we attract the right skill sets, and those with the right experience but we value character, positivity and a caring attitude in equal weight.

We welcome people from all walks of life and celebrate individuality as we know diverse minds, experiences and backgrounds help us to learn and better serve our communities. We employ thousands of people from across our community who really care about what they do. Because that is how we do what we do.

And when it comes to inclusion, we’re making sure we keep up the progress with our wonderful working groups – LGBTQ+, Women in Operations & STEM, Disability and Ethnicity; who help us do just that.
