Our Waste Water Recycling team have a great opportunity for you to join as our new Maintenance Electrical Technician in Warwick & Stratford.

 

You will be reliable for the operation and maintenance of electrical/automation assets which are key to ensuring treatment plants and water distribution processes are operating efficiently whilst maintaining quality outputs.

 

The role is pivotal in assisting the Waste Water Recycling team to meet tough local and companywide targets around quality, continuous supply, and safety and cost control.

 

In the role of Maintenance Technician you will be expected utilise electrical knowledge and skills to maintain electrical plant to optimise equipment reliability, maintainability and asset/process performance.

 

As a member of the team, you will be responsible for the reactive and proactive maintenance of electrical, instrumentation and automation across the Warwickshire area. 

 

A company van and fuel card will be provided along with all tools and specialist equipment required to carry out the role, We look to progress your technical skills to enable you to become an LV SAP along with all additional technical training. Here at Severn Trent we take pride in knowing we come to work each day and help make a difference.

 

Any additional technical training required will also be covered and great working hours too (Monday - Thursday 7.30am-3.30pm and Friday 7.30am-3pm). 

 

The successful candidate will participate in a 24/7 stand-by rota. As part of your ongoing professional development, you will be required to upskill as a LV/HV SAP which will come with an additional allowance on top of your basic salary.

 

Some of your other key accountabilities will include:

 

  • Maintaining industrial electrical equipment. Specifically, fault finding, installation and routine maintenance on the following industrial electrical equipment types:
  • Motor Starters
  • Variable Speed Drives
  • Electrical control circuits (relays, contactors, timers etc.)
  • Domestic electrical circuits (heating, lighting and plugs)
  • Support the company’s drive to improve safety standards
  • Responsible for ensuring all activities are performed in a safe and diligent manner to ensure regular feedback on issues arising before, during and following activities that are carried out
  • Opportunity to train as an electrical Senior Authorised Person, LV (SAP)
  • Willing to train for multiskilled instrument technician if not already qualified
  • Experience with PLCs and ladder logic would be advantageous

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

 

We’re seeking our new Electrical Technician to have obtained a NVQ level 3 qualification in the related subject and have 18th Edition. Furthermore C&G 2391 Electrical Inspection and Testing would be advantageous. A full UK driving licence will be required for the role, The right skills and experience are important.
