The Pollution Response Team (PRT) is a newly established function within Network Control, acting as Severn Trent’s environmental emergency response service. The team provides a fast, reliable 24/7 response to water and waste incidents, using specialist equipment and highly trained technicians to minimise environmental impact and support field operations.

 

As Administration & Technical Support, you’ll play a key role in keeping the team running smoothly day to day. You’ll support the coordination of vehicles, equipment, and resources, working closely with technicians, managers, workshops, and internal teams to ensure the service remains operational and effective.

 

This role is Monday–Friday, 08:00–16:00 (excluding bank holidays), primarily based in Coleshill, with occasional travel to other Severn Trent sites as needed (flexibility can be discussed)

Your key accountabilities in this role will include:

 

  • Track and manage equipment and vehicle usage across incidents, maintaining accurate inventory records
  • Coordinate fleet servicing, maintenance, and repairs with workshops, including arranging vehicle recovery where required
  • Coordinate Fleet Servicing, hire vehicles, and arrange specialist equipment to maintain operational capability
  • Maintain audit trails for equipment and vehicle use
  • Support waste documentation and compliance, retaining and managing consignment records in line with policy
  • Provide general administrative support
  • Support traffic management processes, including permits (as applicable), and track plant/equipment maintenance schedules
  • Carry out general office duties using Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
