We are looking for a Design Manager to be based out of either our Leicester or Derby office.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
Reporting directly to the Design Business Lead, the Design Manager will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of our Mains Renewal Programme
Accountable for a direct team, you will work alongside your team and the supply chain partners to develop a strong working relationship with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful design, delivery and handover of projects.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Ideally qualified in a technical engineering or design related discipline you will be an experienced engineer with a strong background in design, leading successful design teams in a highly regulated industry such as water or gas.
- A strong team manager, with excellent planning and implementation skills, you will have experience of leading design projects to ensure designs are delivered to time, cost and quality.
- You will have extensive experience of implementing CDM regulations in the design process and strong understanding of risk management in construction and operational design.
- You will have experience working with a diverse team of different skillsets and building capacity and mentoring other engineers.
- You will have excellent internal and external stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of people. You will be a forward-thinking innovator, capable of anticipating challenges and responding to change in a rapidly evolving environment.
- You will be able to make educated judgments and decisions in the face of ambiguity and have a good grasp of the bigger picture.
- Full UK driving licence required.
