EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW  

 

 

We have an exciting opportunity within our Customer Operations department to become a Yard Operative!

 

The role is responsible for maintaining yard safety, security, and environmental compliance in line with EMS standards, while also conducting audits on vehicles and mobile plant. It involves managing Chapter 8 assets, depot maintenance, and water works materials in accordance with EUSR and DWI standards.

 

A key focus is the timely delivery of materials to engineers, along with loading and offloading warehouse deliveries. The role supports daily warehouse operations, responds promptly to DG3 material needs, and ensures excellent customer service through clear communication and feedback. Additional duties include assisting with wash downs, operating mobile plant, and handling ad-hoc collections and deliveries when required.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE 

 

  

We are seeking an experienced and proactive individual with a strong background in yard and warehouse operations, safety compliance, and asset management. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience conducting audits of vehicles and mobile plant, ensuring environmental compliance in line with EMS standards, and water works materials in accordance with EUSR and DWI regulations.

 

Proven ability to support warehouse logistics, including loading and offloading deliveries, and delivering materials to field engineers is essential. The role demands a responsive approach to DG3 material requirements, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to communicate effectively and capture feedback.
