We’re looking for an experienced Network Analyst to join our team and make a real impact, ensuring our water and wastewater assets run efficiently, stay compliant, and deliver for our customers.

In this role, you will undertake detailed analysis of water and wastewater data, including consumption volumes, flow and pressure data, and STS operating costs, to help minimise costs, maximise legitimate consumption, and improve overall network performance. You will also prioritise improvement strategies, ensuring the most cost-effective activities and customer-focused initiatives are delivered first.

 

This role is based in Reading

   

Key Accountabilities Include:

 

  • To use understanding of bill tariffs and charging regimes to optimise internal operating processes and site configuration.
  • Provision of technical responses related to the client estate development and water/wastewater network improvement schemes.
  • Analysis of client site measurement with recommendations to maximise legitimate water consumption.
  • Ensure flows and pressures on the client network are sufficient to meet contractual firefighting requirements, establishing root cause of any specific issues and identification of least cost interventions to resolve
  • Using all available feedback and data to target interventions to minimise the likelihood of sewer flooding or pipe blockages.
  • Cost benefit analysis to support investment decisions
  • Understanding of Water and Wastewater network configuration for the purposes of providing technical advice to Asset Management, Field Operations, Contract and Engineering teams.
  • Ensuring contractual measurement accuracy and network performance monitoring through optimised plans for water meter maintenance and repair 
  • Influencing of Regional Service Delivery Teams, to undertake and deliver plans and programmes within prescribed timescales. 
  • Reporting of performance to peer groups, business and strategic leadership teams
  • Identifying opportunities for increased reliability and improved operating efficiency

 

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

 

In order to be successful in this role, you will have a strong understanding of how water distribution and wastewater networks operate, alongside the ability to analyse large volumes of data and distil key insights from complex graphical information.

You will be a collaborative team player with proven problem-solving and logical thinking skills, capable of delivering results in environments where accuracy and reliability are critical.

You will also be IT literate with confident use of Microsoft Office, and demonstrate experience of working with and managing expectations across multiple internal and external stakeholders.

This role requires a full UK driving licence and the flexibility to work a nine‑day fortnight when required.
