EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
We’re looking for a dedicated and proactive individual to support the Production Team Manager in the day-to-day operations of our surface water treatment works, groundwater sites, and reservoirs. This is a key role in helping us meet ambitious targets for water quality, continuous supply, safety, and cost efficiency.
In this role, you’ll play a vital part in enabling the team to manage operations and maintenance across our production sites, ensuring the effective use of people, assets, IT systems, and financial resources. You’ll work closely with the local Planning & Scheduling team to ensure all activities are delivered on time and in line with service level agreements. A strong focus on compliance is essential, as you’ll help ensure our water treatment processes meet all regulatory and company standards.
You’ll champion health and safety by promoting consistent practices and supporting the implementation of company policies. Your input will be key in identifying and driving cost-saving initiatives and operational improvements. You’ll also assist with budget monitoring and preparation, support capital project delivery in collaboration with Asset Creation, and provide technical input both in meetings and on-site.
This role also includes providing cover for the team manager when needed and participating in the Hafren Dyfrdwy Production standby rota. If you’re passionate about operational excellence and want to make a real impact in the water industry, we’d love to hear from you.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team in a key role focused on water treatment and supply. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in health and safety management, contractor oversight, and quality and environmental systems. Leadership experience or demonstrable supervisory skills are highly desirable, along with a solid technical or maintenance background.
You’ll need excellent IT skills, particularly in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and be confident working both independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills are essential, including the ability to write clear reports and deliver effective presentations. You should be capable of guiding a team, solving problems creatively, and adapting to changing priorities.
A full valid UK driving licence is essential. Qualifications in health and safety, water treatment (City & Guilds or equivalent), and contractor management are desirable.
