Compliance Analyst

Our purpose is taking care of life’s essentials, but we’re also big on making a difference, not just because we should but because we care. We are launching a landmark programme to combat infiltration and to do this, we need a brilliant Data & Analytics/Compliance Analyst to build and own our entire data strategy.

This is a fantastic opportunity to shape our approach from the ground up. You will lead and own a Data, Monitoring & Analytics workstream, architecting the systems and developing the capabilities that will become the single source of truth for infiltration. You'll transform how we use data, from deploying a strategic monitoring network to developing predictive models and creating dashboards that drive multi-million-pound investment decisions. This role can be based in Coventry, Derby or Leicester.

Are you a curious and creative analyst with a passion for turning complex data into compelling stories and actionable solutions?

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

You’ll lead the development and execution of the programme’s data, monitoring, and analytics strategy. This includes identifying key data sources, overseeing the deployment of a strategic monitoring network of over 550 units, and procuring the core data platform to support programme delivery.

Beyond basic reporting, you will enhance our analytical capabilities by applying statistical analysis to uncover trends and patterns. As the programme evolves, you’ll explore and implement machine learning or AI models to generate predictive insights into infiltration hotspots.

You will design and maintain the programme’s Infiltration Dashboard, creating a clear, intuitive, and trusted visualisation of network performance for use by field teams and senior leaders alike. In parallel, you’ll develop and implement a robust methodology for quantifying benefits, translating physical outcomes into auditable financial and regulatory value.

While leading the data and analytics workstream, you’ll also act as the analytical hub for the entire programme, supporting investigation, delivery, and performance tracking teams. As a champion of data quality and evidence-based decision-making, you’ll help embed an analytical mindset across the team and support upskilling efforts.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

You’ll need strong data analysis skills and experience working with large, complex datasets. Proficiency in tools like SQL, Python, and Power BI is essential, along with the ability to design data strategies and analytics roadmaps. A strategic thinker with a problem-solving mindset, you should be comfortable translating complex insights into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical audiences.

Experience in the water industry is a plus, but we welcome candidates from any data-driven background, including data science, business intelligence, or asset management. Familiarity with data platforms, governance, and quality management is beneficial, as is knowledge of statistical modelling or machine learning. A degree in a quantitative field is desirable.

We have a range of benefits that recognise great work, and award-winning training to help you reach your potential.
