We have a fantastic opportunity to be part of our Customer Leakage Team as a Senior Water Network Technician on a 12 Month FTC. You’ll play an essential role in ensuring the effective operation of the Distribution Network within a given geographical area whilst delivering full compliance with all customers, regulatory and company standards.
As a Senior Water Network Technician, you will also take ownership of customer issues you'll build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the effective delivery of operational works whilst minimising the impact on our customers and their communities. You’ll also have previous experience within Leakage with knowledge of the water industry.
This position will be based in Leicester and you’ll work within our Leakage department. With this being such a critical role, we’re looking for someone who can join us 40 hours a week, working Monday – Friday (07:00 – 15:30).
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a motivated and collaborative individual to join our team, bringing experience of working closely with contract partners and stakeholders across a wide geographical area. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of building and maintaining effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including customers, local authorities, network control teams, and asset optimisation specialists.
Knowledge of Water Fittings Regulations and an understanding of hydraulics—particularly how they impact water quality and pipe integrity—would be advantageous. Familiarity with budget management and working within financial constraints is also desirable.
To thrive in this role, you’ll need to be confident working under pressure, especially during periods of high demand, and be committed to delivering value to customers at every level. You should be proactive in diagnosing and resolving issues, aiming for right-first-time solutions. Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential, as is the ability to interpret technical information and specifications clearly.
