LET’S TELL YOU MORE
We’re looking for a Network Optimisation Technician at our office in Leicester.
Our Network Optimisation teams are responsible for ensuring that Severn Trent meets and improves our expected water supply service standards for our customers. They are effectively the architect of our network adapting its configuration and controls, performing root cause analysis investigations to system failures, identifying ways to put things right, working out how to proactively improve performance of the network and developing proposals to ensure the short and long-term performance of the water network.
Within this Technician role you will therefore be responsible for providing technical expertise on our water supply network, investigating asset performance, providing analysis and investigation, and producing technical reports using hydraulic modelling.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
You’ll typically have great analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to determine and promote the best solution, that delivers a quality and reliable service, and communicate complex ideas clearly to a range of different stakeholders.
You’ll need to be able to use IT systems. It goes without saying you’ll have excellent communication skills and demonstrate the ability to influence colleagues of all levels effectively. You`ll have strong organisational skills and you`ll be able to work on own initiative.
We are seeking candidates with experience in the application of hydraulic principles, hydraulic modelling, and the operation of network assets within an engineering or operational environment. Strong IT skills are essential, particularly in the use of spreadsheets and the ability to present data in a clear, visual format.
