LET'S CUT STRAIGHT TO IT

At Severn Trent, our people are at the heart of everything we do. We're committed to delivering essential services for our customers while improving the environment and supporting the communities we serve.

We're looking for a Construction Assurance Engineer who share our passion for safe, high-quality project delivery and want to play a key role in delivering some of the UK's most important wastewater treatment projects.

If you want to make a genuine difference, influence positive outcomes and help drive excellence across construction projects, we'd love to hear from you.

LET'S TELL YOU MORE

We're looking for a Construction Assurance Engineer to join our Wastewater Treatment Capital Delivery Team.

As a Construction Assurance Engineer, you'll provide an independent construction assurance presence across our capital investment programme, supporting the successful delivery of projects that improve the performance, resilience and sustainability of our wastewater treatment assets.

You'll work closely with Project Managers, Lead Project Managers, operational teams and delivery partners to provide confidence that construction activities are being delivered safely, compliantly, sustainably and to the required quality standards.

The role is far more than just site inspections. You'll act as a trusted advisor to project teams, providing construction expertise, identifying emerging risks, supporting the resolution of site issues and promoting best practice and continuous improvement across our supply chain partners.

Through regular site engagement and assurance activities, you'll help ensure projects meet their health and safety, environmental, quality, programme and compliance objectives while supporting Severn Trent in meeting its duties as a Client under CDM Regulations.

HOW WE WORK

This is a field-based role with regular travel to wastewater treatment sites and construction projects across the region.

You'll spend a significant proportion of your time carrying out site assurance activities, working directly with project teams and contractors, whilst maintaining close links with Project Managers, Construction Managers and operational stakeholders.

A full UK driving licence is therefore essential.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Providing construction assurance support across wastewater treatment capital projects.
