ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Schedule and Delivery Technician to join our Workforce Planning & Optimisation teamhere at Severn Trent who are a  critical part of our Field and Contact Centre Operations

So, what do Schedule and Delivery Technicians do, I hear you ask? They’re responsible for making sure our field operations in Water and Waste are on time and right first time, across the region! Sounds important right?

You’ll liaise with external suppliers, field managers, operatives, the local planning authorities, and customers to schedule crucial emergency and planned repair, renewal, and installation works.

You’ll jeopardy manage our workflow, redistributing work in a day as priorities and service levels change to meet customer and business need.

Plus, you’ll make sure that we’re meeting customer expectations and targets by managing the real time workflows against service levels and Key Performance Indicators.

In this cohort, you'll be based at our Pride Park site where you’ll be able to park for free. You’ll work within our 320 strong Workforce Planning & Optimisation Team who are predominantly based across two Derby sites and all love what they do.

In this role, you’ll be supporting our field operatives and so we’re looking for you to work between a working window of hours 06:30 – 20:00, on an 11-week rota, working 2 weekends in 11.

There are 3 types of shifts within this window:

  • Early shift - 06:30 - 14:30 (4 weeks of 10)
  • Day shift - 08:00 - 16:00 (4 weeks of 10)
  • Late shift - 12:00 - 20:00 (2 weeks of 10)
  • Your weekend shifts will be between 06:30 – 16:00 (2 weekends in 10)

You’ll get to finish 30 minutes earlier every Friday when working an early or day shift and start 30 minutes later on a Friday when working a late shift!

Communication skills are key as you’ll be liaising with a wide range of stakeholders, including customers to manage their expectations.

You’ll thrive working under pressure and can be flexible, switching to different jobs that are high priority and picking up new tasks to support the wider team.
