Are you ready to lead a high-performing team and drive excellence in asset maintenance? We’re looking for a Maintenance & Reliability Manager to join our Waste Water Recycling team and take ownership of our asset maintenance programme across a designated region.

 

What you’ll be doing:

 

  • Lead and inspire a team of Reliability Technicians to deliver outstanding service.
  • Own and optimise the operation and maintenance (O&M) programme across multiple wastewater treatment technologies.
  • Collaborate with Asset Care and Operations teams to improve asset performance, reduce downtime, and enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Establish and manage a robust reliability framework, including condition-based monitoring, lubrication schedules, motor/pump alignment, vibration analysis, and failure trend analysis.
  • Influence insourcing strategies and improve field job reporting to support data-driven asset performance improvements.
  • Review external maintenance contracts to ensure value for money and support commissioning of new equipment.

 

You will be working within our Proactive Improvement & Maintenance Team which has been established with the goal of creating a new inhouse capability that will proactively prevent pollutions and enhance the health of our pump station assets in line with newly established asset standards.

 

The team will focus on undertaking asset improvements at our sites, like adding generator connection points, auto restarts, improving pumping controls, pressure monitors, over pumping connections, and installing upgraded pumps and pipework, working with, and supporting our existing operational teams across Waste Water Recycling.

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

 

  • Proven experience in a wastewater operational environment.
  • Strong background in maintenance disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, or ICA).
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-performing maintenance strategies.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Commercial awareness and a drive to deliver results.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum BTEC/NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Willingness to complete Asset Maintenance Best Practice (C&G) and Mobius Level 2 (CBM).
  • IOSH Health & Safety qualification (or equivalent) desirable.
  • Lean management qualification is a plus.
  • Full UK driving licence required.
