Assistant Project Manager
At Severn Trent, our people are at the heart of everything we do. We’re in the top 5% of utility companies worldwide when it comes to employee engagement and ranked as a Top 50 UK Employer on Glassdoor. Join us in making a positive impact on the environment and our communities, while being valued and supported in a truly inclusive workplace.
If you want to do more, because you care, we want you on our team.
Within our Capital Delivery department, we are looking for Assistant Project Managers to join the team.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
Based out of our Raynesway (Derby) office, you’ll support the Project Managers by taking the lead on delivering your own projects, initially focusing on those that are less complex and lower risk. You’ll drive these projects forward whilst undertaking financial management and managing risk. As well as this, you’ll liaise with the project stakeholders and be able to influence at both mid and senior leadership levels.
This role will give you variety and challenge, with plenty of scope for learning whilst being supported to grow and do more.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
It would be beneficial for you to have some exposure to the NEC framework, and hold either APM or Prince 2 qualifications, however this is not essential.
You’ll have excellent communication and influencing skills and the ability to build successful working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You’ll drive continuous improvement, with the ability to innovate and anticipate unexpected issues and challenges as they arise.
A full UK driving licence is mandatory for this role.
Skills and experience are important, but character, positivity, and a caring attitude matter too. We welcome and celebrate diverse individuals, knowing they help us better serve our communities. We seek people who get involved, want to be part of something bigger, and make a difference because they care.
HOW WE’LL REWARD AND CARE FOR YOU
It's not just a job; it's a career. We offer benefits that reward great work and award-winning training to help you reach your potential. Plus, you'll contribute to the environment and community too.
