EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

 

We’re looking for our next Tactical Planner to join our Workforce Planning and Scheduling Team. In this role you will be responsible for creating a forward plan to enable our operational colleagues to deliver and drive great efficiency. This will allow our operational teams to safely conduct crucial emergency and planned repair, renewal, and installation works.

 

You'll be based in our modern Pride Park office in Derby where you’ll be able to park for free or get to with ease with loads of local travel options. You’ll work within alongside our 280 strong Workforce Planning & Optimisation Team who all love what they do.

 

And if that wasn’t enough, you'll be partnering with field teams and creating effective but simple schedules, driving clear communication with internal & external stakeholders keeping field teams utilised so customer and company SLAs (service level agreements) and ODI (outcome delivery incentive) achieved.

 

 In turn delighting our customers & making a real difference across our region.

 

With this being such a critical role to us, and our customers we are looking for someone who can support our teams 37 hours a week between Monday to Friday 8:00-16:00.

 

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR 

 

Your brilliant organisation skills, care, and passion for driving great plans whilst maintaining high levels of customer service are exactly what we’re looking for.

 

This is due to liaising with our operational teams and external stakeholders such as highway authorities & traffic management to ensure the plan is communicated, understood, and signed off so everyone is clear what needs to be delivered.

 

Being proactive and organised will make you a shining star in this role as you’ll need to work to certain service levels to achieve our customer and company outcomes efficiently, correctly and accurately.

 

We’ll be pulling on your analytical skills daily as you’ll use data & other sources of information received from multiple resources to interpret and create high quality field operations within our workforce management system. It is important that you have the capability and want to be curious around any data sources and ensure its is up to date and accurate as timely decisions are made based on the correct assumptions.

 

It is important you are proactive in the use of continuous improvement and problem-solving techniques to identify issues, solutions and implement and sustain best practice solutions.
