LET’S CUT STRAIGHT TO IT
We’re looking for a Strategic Catchment Planner to help shape the future of wastewater management at Severn Trent. This is a unique opportunity to influence long-term drainage and wastewater strategies that support environmental resilience and performance.
Some of the other key accountabilities:
- Develop sustainable, adaptive catchment strategies using data analytics and innovative thinking
- Collaborate with consultants and internal teams to build a robust portfolio of catchment knowledge
- Identify and assess future performance pressures such as climate change, urban growth, and asset condition
- Engage with key external stakeholders (e.g. Environment Agency, LLFAs, LPAs) to influence local development and policy
- Translate insights into compelling business cases and support the transition from strategy to delivery
You'll be based at our Office in Raynesway, Derby. You’ll work within our Asset Strategy Team. With this being such a critical role, we’re looking for someone who can join us 37 hours a week, WFH flexibility available and travel to other sites will be required at times so you’ll need to hold a full U.K driving licence.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Strong understanding of sewerage systems and hydraulic design principles
- Experience in data analysis, problem-solving, and technical report writing
- Ability to communicate complex issues clearly to a range of audiences
- Confident working with consultants and engaging with internal and external stakeholders
- A proactive mindset and a passion for sustainable infrastructure planning
