Resource Coordinator
At Severn Trent, our people are at the heart of everything we do. We’re in the top 5% of utility companies worldwide when it comes to employee engagement and ranked as a Top 50 UK Employer on Glassdoor. Join us to make a positive impact on the environment and our communities, while being valued and supported in a truly inclusive workplace.
If you want to do more, because you care, we want you on our team.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
Are you a natural co-ordinator who loves bringing order to complexity? As a Resource Coordinator you’ll be at the heart of resource planning—balancing and moving Severn Trent and contract labour to meet demand, keeping shrinkage records up to date, and making sure everything’s logged accurately in our systems such as SAP and Salesforce. You’ll also play a key role in enabling cross-boundary working and collaborating with our Tactical Planning and Dispatch Leads to deliver a seamless 21-day resource plan.
You'll be based at Pride Park, Derby within our Workforce Planning and Optimisation team.
HOW WE WORK
You'll join a caring culture that collaborates to achieve, grow, and develop. Our employee engagement scores are among the highest globally in energy and utilities. That’s why, we value in-person moments to keep our culture alive and why for this role you’ll usually find us in the office during our working hours.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
To thrive in this role, you’ll need to be comfortable using SAP, workforce management systems especially Salesforce FSM, and Microsoft Office—especially Excel and PowerPoint. You’ll have a good eye for spotting ways to improve how things are done and ideally bring some experience in resource planning with good knowledge of the Working Time Directive and shift pattern management. Strong stakeholder management, clear communication, and analytical thinking are key, along with solid IT skills—particularly in SAP ECC and Click.
Skills and experience are important, but character, positivity, and a caring attitude matter too. We welcome and celebrate diverse individuals, knowing they help us better serve our communities. We seek people who get involved, want to be part of something bigger, and make a difference because they care.
HOW WE’LL REWARD AND CARE FOR YOU
It's not just a job; it's a career. We offer benefits that reward great work and award-winning training to help you reach your potential. Plus, you'll contribute to the environment and community too. Here are some of our favourites:
