Project Engineer
We’re looking for a forward-thinking and highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to lead the Operational delivery of our Waste Proactive programmes. You’ll take ownership of task delivery, working closely with our Senior Performance Analyst and supporting a team of Project Engineers to drive measurable improvements across the width and breadth of our Proactive workstreams.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
You'll be based at our Raynesway site in Derby. You’ll work within our Waste Networks team of around 20 colleagues. With this being such a critical role, we’re looking for someone who can join us Fulltime 37 hours a week.
Reporting to the Proactive Waste Delivery Manager, this is a role where your ability to turn complex operational challenges into clear, demonstratable actions which in turn deliver solutions, will drive improvements for our business and our customers. You’ll be the go-to expert for operational programme delivery, audit & compliance, health & safety, building business cases, supervising contractor performance and tracking benefits to ensure we meet both internal targets and external commitments.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for someone with deep technical expertise, demonstrating operational excellence, with a strong understanding of Waste Networks. You’ll be confident using tools like SAP, Excel, Powerpoint, and GIS platforms to explore better ways of working and deliver insights that drive change.
You’ll need to be comfortable presenting to varied audiences, influencing stakeholders at all levels, knowledgeable of commercial contract compliance, and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience in waste water operations including the proactive waste approach to programme delivery is key, along with a full UK driving licence.
