EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
Join our Waste Network Operations team in a pivotal leadership role, managing the planning and budgeting of waste network projects to ensure safe, efficient delivery as a Proactive Risk Reduction Manager. You'll drive collaboration across departments, optimise spend, and help shape smarter infrastructure solutions.
Key Accountabilities:
- Implement a risk-based approach to all works delivered by the in-house civils resource, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance.
- Manage departmental budgets effectively throughout the year, while developing robust financial plans and forecasts for future years.
- Ensure team capability and expertise in engineering and feasibility assessments, enabling early identification and management of project constraints through to design ready for delivery handover
- Promote CDM competence within the team and support the implementation of MCS/CIAs when engaging specialist supply chains.
- Support direct labour delivery teams in both planned and emergency situations as required

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Previous experience in the technical operation and complex repairs/renewals of waste assets.
- Previous experience in Waste Water processes and operational improvement activities.
- Previous experience in budget management
- Project management skills associated with project delivery.
- Working with CDM in fast paced complex repairs
- A good level of IT skills and an ability to produce technical documents
- SAP or other similar project management tools competency
- Great communication and stakeholder management skills
- NEC4 awareness
- Operational team management experience (desirable)
