EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
In this role, you will help drive Developer Services’ focus on delivering excellent customer experience, improving regulatory performance—particularly DMEX—and maximising the value of operational, customer and commercial data.
Working within a specialist team, you’ll enhance our analytical capability across the entire customer journey, supporting data‑led decision making that improves performance, efficiency and regulatory outcomes. You will collaborate closely with operational teams, commercial colleagues, regulatory leads and external partners to identify opportunities, shape insights and drive meaningful change, communicating findings clearly both in person and through high‑quality reporting.
You will also take full ownership of analytical questions from discovery through to action, managing your workload independently while working cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced and dynamic service area.
Your key accountabilities in this role include:
- Support Developer Services performance improvement projects, focusing on DMEX, customer experience, and operational efficiency, delivering data and behavioural insight to guide decision making.
- Evaluate, integrate and leverage data from multiple systems (e.g., SAP, GIS, CRM, Work Management Tools, survey platforms) to produce meaningful analytical outputs.
- Lead the regular reporting of DMEX, APR (connections & properties), and other regulatory/commercial metrics, ensuring accuracy, clarity and alignment with industry definitions.
- Build and develop models that combine disparate data sources to create a holistic view of DS customer behaviour, operational performance and end‑to‑end process health.
- Undertake advanced analytics to support forecasting, segmentation, and process optimisation across Developer Services workflows.
- Support the design, deployment and analysis of customer surveys and feedback mechanisms, translating findings into actionable insight to influence process, policy and system improvements.
- Maintain awareness of industry‑wide performance in developer services, understanding emerging trends, regulatory expectations, and how this informs Severn Trent’s strategy.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of Developer Services regulatory elements, including DMEX, CCW expectations, and Ofwat reporting requirements.
You’ll be based in our Raynesway OR Coventry headquarters, Monday – Friday with some travel to other sites for meetings.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

Knowledge of Developer Services, the water industry and key regulatory requirements is important, as is experience analysing customer behaviour or operational trends. We’ll want you to have the ability to collaborate with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to get their input, share knowledge and insight to drive efficiencies, doing this with a proactive approach. You will need to use your initiative and look ahead to anticipate problems or areas for process improvement.
