HOW WILL THE PROGRAMME WORK?
You will be based at Raynesway in Derby, the heart of our operating patch. The programme requires you to complete placements throughout your time in the role, gaining exposure in different areas of the department so that you are equipped with the right skills to build your career here at Severn Trent.
In this exciting programme, you will have the chance to discuss your development and career ambitions in your 1-1 meetings with business leads, mentors, a study buddy, the cohort leader, and the New Talent Team.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
As a Graduate Hydraulic Modeller, you have the opportunity to shape water infrastructure for growing communities through planning and delivering a variety of solutions for ambitious and complex housing and industrial developments. Through structured training and development we will build your expertise in hydraulic modelling, giving exposure to diverse projects with real impact on communities, and providing opportunities to work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. You will apply hydraulic modelling techniques to real-world challenges, ensuring efficient and sustainable water systems, collaborating with engineers, planners, and developers to integrate hydraulic considerations into development plans, preparing and presenting technical reports and insights to stakeholders, supporting project planning by assessing network capacity and performance, analysing data from multiple sources, including GIS platforms, to provide recommendations that meet environmental and company standards, delivering tailored solutions for unique locations and customer needs.

ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
Our New Talent Team will guide you and support you every step of the way. Furthermore, your line manager, mentor and graduate buddy will be there to help you in making sure you reach your full potential here at Severn Trent.
Location: Raynesway, Derby, DE21 7BE
Programme Duration: 27 months
Starting Salary: £31,500
Entry Criteria: STEM Degree or similar degree with STEM elements.
Driving Requirements: It is essential you have a full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle upon starting this role.
