As a Service Delivery Manager, on a 12 month contract, you’ll be responsible for ensuring seamless, end‑to‑end service delivery across your technology services. From service readiness and change management through to performance optimisation and continuous improvement, you’ll own the full lifecycle of service delivery and act as a key point of accountability for service quality, performance, and customer satisfaction.
You’ll work closely with delivery teams, operational colleagues, and third‑party partners to ensure services are designed, transitioned, and operated effectively, while driving insight‑led improvements that enhance service quality and reduce operational risk.
This is a pivotal role within the IT Operations team, offering the opportunity to influence strategic service outcomes, strengthen supplier performance, and help shape a culture of operational excellence, all whilst contributing to core service management processes.
You’ll take clear ownership of end‑to‑end service readiness and change management, ensuring services are designed, transitioned, and embedded into business‑as‑usual operations in a controlled and sustainable way. Working closely with project and delivery teams, you’ll ensure that services are genuinely ready to go live, with the right support models, documentation, and governance in place, and that full change control processes are applied appropriately to minimise risk and disruption.
You’ll be accountable for maintaining a robust, accurate service catalogue, ensuring service data, dependencies, and performance measures are clearly understood and transparently reported. Third‑party service delivery will sit firmly within your remit, with responsibility for managing supplier performance against agreed SLAs and KPIs, leading structured service reviews, and driving accountability and value from our partners.
Using performance insight, operational data, and colleague feedback, you’ll proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement, service optimisation, and cost efficiency. You’ll play a key role in strengthening service stability, reducing avoidable incidents, and improving the overall colleague experience, helping to embed a proactive, improvement‑led service management culture across Technology.
You'll be based at our Severn Trent Centre head office in Coventry. You’ll work within a dedicated team and with this being such a critical role, we’re looking for someone who can join us 37 hours a week, working .

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
You’ll bring strong experience in service delivery or service management, with a clear understanding of service readiness, change, and operational performance. You’ll be comfortable working across multiple stakeholders, able to translate between technical and business conversations, and confident holding partners and suppliers to account.
You’ll have a structured, analytical approach to service performance and reporting, combined with a proactive mindset and a genuine desire to improve how services are delivered. Strong communication skills, organisational capability, and the confidence to influence at all levels are essential.
Experience of IT service management frameworks (such as ITIL) and managing third‑party suppliers is highly desirable.
