We’re looking for Business Analyst’s to join our Technology function and play a key role in shaping the digital and technology solutions that support the delivery of essential water and wastewater services to millions of customers every day.

 

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you’ll help translate business needs, regulatory requirements, and operational challenges into clear, deliverable technology solutions. Your work will directly support our AMP8 commitments—helping us operate more efficiently, make better use of data, and deliver better outcomes for customers and the environment.

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Working closely with Technology, Operations, and Business teams to understand problems, outcomes, and improvement opportunities
  • Supporting AMP8 projects and programmes by translating business and regulatory needs into clear requirements and delivery artefacts
  • Eliciting and documenting requirements using a range of techniques, including workshops, process mapping, user stories, and impact assessments
  • Helping define current‑state and future‑state processes, systems, and data flows
  • Supporting Agile and hybrid delivery teams by shaping backlogs, refining requirements, and supporting sprint and release planning
  • Ensuring solutions are aligned to business priorities, customer outcomes, and regulatory commitments
  • Supporting change that improves resilience, efficiency, data quality, and service performance

 

You'll be based at our Severn Trent Centre Head Office in Coventry.  You’ll work within our dedicated team of Business Analysts and then assigned projects. With this being such a critical role, we’re looking for someone who can join us 37 hours a week.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

 

We’ll be looking for you to be able to demonstrate: -

 

  • Experience working as a Business Analyst in a technology or change environment
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across technical and non‑technical teams
  • Experience supporting Agile delivery (Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid approaches)
  • Ability to analyse complex problems and communicate solutions clearly
  • A collaborative, outcomes‑focused mindset with a desire to make a real difference

 

Alongside this, it would be desirable if you had experience in utilities, infrastructure, or regulated industries.  Exposure to data, digital platforms, enterprise systems, or operational technology would be great, as would an understanding of compliance‑ or resilience‑driven change.  A familiarity with process improvement and business transformation initiatives will hold you in good stead.
