EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
Our Chief Engineer, Water Resources team have an excellent opportunity to join as our new Strategic Analyst Water Resources.
In this role you’ll develop future water supply options to support the Water Resources Management Plan (WRMP) and guide investment decisions for upcoming price reviews.
As well as this you’ll provide engineering expertise and technical analysis to assess the engineering, carbon, and cost aspects of these options. You’ll also securing funding and demonstrate to stakeholders, customers, and regulators that the proposed solutions offer best value.
Key accountabilities include:
- Define a comprehensive range of long-term water supply options, supported by cost-benefit analysis and regulatory evidence.
- Provide strategic leadership aligned with government policy and regulatory guidance on water resources planning.
- Ensure delivery of regulatory requirements for the WRMP and Water Resources West (WRW) strategic supply options.
- Develop innovative and forward-thinking supply solutions to address long-term water supply challenges.
- Build strong relationships with regulators, stakeholders, and senior management to secure confidence in the value and reliability of proposed water supply strategies.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
As our Strategic Analyst (Water Resources) you’ll have an understanding of water resources planning and be able to demonstrate experience of asset development.
You’ll also have a solid understanding of UK water and environmental legislation, along with an awareness of potential future regulatory developments.
You’ll bring valuable experience in programme and project management, working with a team of consultants to deliver high-value outcomes. This demonstrates strong leadership, coordination, and the ability to manage complex projects effectively.
