EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
We’re looking for a proactive and passionate Social Media Officer to join our social media Team, bringing energy and originality to the team to deepen our connection with online communities through telling our many brand stories in engaging ways.
You’ll be supporting the planning and delivery of social media campaigns across all our channels – from hyper-local activity to large-scale brand campaigns, and everything in between!
You’ll take shared ownership of managing and creating proactive and reactive content across our key platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Nextdoor and TikTok) and collaborate with wider Comms colleagues to ensure we engage our audiences and enhance brand presence.
Other key accountabilities include:-
- Own and manage the social media content planner, including forward planning, sourcing, and scheduling content across channels. Collaborate with the wider Comms Team to align with key events and respond to reactive content needs.
- Lead the creation and editing of engaging social content – both static and video – using tools like Canva, CapCut, Premiere Pro and Photoshop and working with our in house video and creative teams.
- Produce regular performance reports for social media activity. Present insights to the team and recommend optimisations based on data and test-and-learn outcomes.
- Set up and manage Paid Social activity using Ads Manager (Meta and other platforms), including performance reporting.
- Use Hootsuite to schedule posts, manage content approvals, engage with audiences, and track performance.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
From an experience point of view, we’ll be looking for you to be plugged into social trends and digital culture, with a skill for thinking outside-the-box and inspiring change. It will also be key for you to have a sharp eye for data and performance, you’ll analyse what works, draw actionable insights, and help evolve our content strategy through ongoing learning.
Capability-wise, you’ll have a can-do attitude with strong initiative and a drive to deliver great work. You’ll be confident pitching ideas, challenging the norm, and helping train and support others, while also being highly organised, adaptable and calm under pressure, with excellent time, prioritisation and project management skills, a real leader within the team who people will look up to.
