LET’S CUT STRAIGHT TO IT

Join our Sustainable Abstraction Team as Senior Water Resources Specialist and play a key role in delivering Severn Trent’s ambitious environmental programme. You’ll lead and support critical workstreams within the Water Industry National Environment Programme (WINEP), helping to shape sustainable water abstraction across our region.

Some of the other key accountabilities:


  • Lead and support technical delivery of WINEP (Water Industry National Environment Plan) and Water Framework Directive (WFD) workstreams

  • Provide expertise to assess how water abstraction changes might affect our assets and operations

  • Collaborate with regulators, consultants, and internal teams to deliver environmental improvements

  • Manage data analysis, stakeholder engagement, and project delivery

  • Contribute to long-term planning and regulatory submissions


You'll be based at our Head Office in Coventry. You’ll work within our Sustainable Abstraction Team. With this being such a critical role, we’re looking for someone who can join us 37 hours a week, on a 12 month FTC, WFH flexibility available and travel to other sites will be required at times so you’ll need to hold a full U.K driving licence.


WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Experience in water resources, environmental programmes, or abstraction management
  • Excellent data analysis and communication abilities
  • Strong stakeholder and project management skills
  • Knowledge of Severn Trent’s water resources and supply systems
  • Knowledge of WINEP, WFD, and UK abstraction legislation
