Senior Technology Project Manager

Are you looking to work in a face paced and challenging environment to deliver programme and project management using various methodologies? 

 

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our Cyber Security team.  With a proven track record of I.T. programme/project management on large scale, you will be responsible for making sure the business outcomes are delivered effectively within a budget and will benefit both the business and the customers we serve. 

 

The projects/programmes will be a wide variety of complex and multiple high profile predominantly worked in a waterfall environment, with some exposure to agile. You will have worked within this environment and have strong knowledge of the end-to-end IT development and infrastructure delivery process from Vision to deployment, business adoption and support and have significant exposure to IT architecture and data strategies.

 

You will have robust stakeholder management skills balanced with diplomacy and tact to work strategically and collaboratively across departments, building lasting relationships with the technology team, various business functions, 3rd party suppliers, senior leaders and board members.  

 

You will have also borne fiscal responsibility for the projects that you had delivered by tracking and controlling costs to ensure delivery within budget.

 

Other Key Accountabilities include:-

 

  • Executive level presence and exposure to Senior leadership and board members 
  • Manage and mitigate/resolve risks and issues by understanding current status and having clear plans of action. You will also be able to effectively utilise escalation mechanisms 
  • Influence and challenge in terms of: 
      • Benefit identification and monitoring (value)  
      • Project scope and priorities (
      • Work collaboratively with third-party suppliers. 
      • Understand the customer/end user/regulatory body’s perspective and aspire to exceed standards of delivery   

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

 

We would be looking for you to have a sound knowledge and experience of formal project methodologies (For example Prince 2), for managing and controlling the delivery of IT systems.   We’ll also want you to take pride in being an inspiring leader with proven experience of developing the capability of teams through effective coaching and mentoring.
