We’re excited to introduce a brand-new opportunity at Severn Trent for a Senior Salesforce Software Engineer to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Field Service Management (FSM) application. In this role, you’ll take ownership of stabilising, integrating, and maintaining FSM across our business, ensuring it delivers maximum value. As a trusted technical expert, you’ll be hands-on in designing, building, and managing software throughout its lifecycle, while overseeing progress across all related work streams. Your expertise will help us create robust, scalable solutions that drive efficiency and innovation.

 

Beyond development, you’ll work closely with our Enterprise and Solution Architects to ensure every application is fit for purpose and aligned with our long-term strategy. From analysing user needs and recommending designs to coding and configuring solutions, you’ll be at the heart of delivering business-critical outcomes. You’ll also troubleshoot issues, manage upgrades, and collaborate across teams to deliver enhancements and small changes within agreed SLAs. You'll be based at our Severn Trent Centre in Coventry.  You’ll work within our dedicated Sales Force Management team, this is a critical role, so we’re looking for someone who can join us 37 hours a week, working Monday to Friday.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’ll be looking for you to have proven experience working with Field Service Management as a Senior Software Developer, Software Engineer, or similar role, ideally in a ITIL environment.  Due to the varied nature of the stakeholder, you’ll be working with, having the ability to influence and negotiate will be beneficial along with knowledge of working in a customer-focused organisation.

 

We’ll want you to have a troubleshooting mindset and resourcefulness which will help you grow in the role.  We want you to be a great problem solver with a drive to deliver on solutions as well as a continuous improvement and analytical nature, which will help you to identify application enhancements and improve business performance through analysis of incidents and problems
