Here at Severn Trent we’re looking for and experienced Senior IT Engineer to join us to upgrade and migrate our Microsoft exchange proposition. As a Senior EUC Engineer, you will set the standards for preparing and configuring devices, ensuring compliance with security and software standards, assisting users with migration and setup, and troubleshooting any issues during the rollout.

We’ll look for you to be engaged & responsible for EUC operations, troubleshooting, and enhancements following ITIL standards and principles, whilst adhering with agreed SLA’s and OLA’s across Technology and the wider business.

We’ll look for you to work with various stakeholders & provide technology expertise, while seeking improvements in processes by clearly understanding our business drivers and the IT systems which drive them.

You'll be based at our Severn Trent Centre head office in Coventry. You’ll work within our EUC team of 11. With this being such a critical role, we’re looking for someone who can join us 37 hours a week, Monday to Friday, with the potential of some on call work.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for you to be an experienced IT Engineer specialising in Microsoft Exchange Server and Exchange Online across large, complex enterprises. Strong expertise in hybrid Exchange architecture, including mail flow, Autodiscover, connectors, AAD Connect, coexistence, and authentication services will be great.

You being skilled in end‑to‑end messaging migrations—on‑premises to cloud, cross‑tenant, and legacy platform upgrades will be of real use, as will advanced PowerShell automation across Exchange and M365 environments knowledge. We’d also love you to be adept in troubleshooting, leading technical initiatives, and shaping architectural decisions.
