We are currently looking for a Senior Design Manager to lead the Engineering Design activities in our Capital River Health Enhancement team and play a proactive role in successfully delivering our AMP8 programme.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
Based from any of our Coventry or Edgbaston offices, the Senior Design Manager will lead an integrated team of designers to develop engineering solutions for a wide range of Waste Water Infrastructure programmes within Severn Trent’s Capital Investment Programme. You will work with key internal and external stakeholders to deliver assigned projects to time and budget, continuously challenging and innovating to improve performance and drive continuous improvement. You will provide robust leadership to enable design, procurement and construction of multiple projects as well as nurturing the development of your team and their success.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
Degree qualified (desirable) in a related discipline you will be an experienced leader with strong coaching skills in solution design. You will have experience leading design projects, ideally within waste networks.
You will have experience of carrying out the role of Principal Designer representative with accountability for discharging Principal Designer duties in accordance with CDM regulations.
You will have excellent internal and external stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of people. You will be a forward-thinking innovator, capable of anticipating challenges and responding to change in a rapidly evolving environment. You will be able to make educated judgments and decisions in the face of ambiguity, and have a good grasp of the bigger picture, seeking opportunities to contribute to the wider agenda.
