EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW  

 

Here at Severn Trent we’re looking for a SAP Ariba Software Engineer to come and play an integral role in the support and improvement of our SAP Ariba application. Working under the supervision of a Team Manager and the guidance of the Senior SAP Ariba Software Engineer, you’ll be expected to demonstrate advanced SAP Ariba skills, strong interpersonal communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, secure environment.

 

In this role you’ll be instrumental in the implementation, governance, and support of our SAP procurement systems, predominantly SAP Ariba.  You will play a role in configuration, testing, and launching functionality that fulfils our business needs, while managing risk, workload, scope, and schedule. You will have active collaboration with both business and technical partners, end users, and other team members to ensure the delivery of high-quality applications and continuous improvement.

 

Accountabilities will include:-

 

  • Actively participate in fulfilling all Customer Service Requests in a proactive manner.
  • Investigate and resolve incidents within SLA, ensuring root cause is understood and documented.
  • Document all changes, processes, and operating procedures for SAP procurement applications and contribute these to the STW repository.
  • Lead root cause analysis of all problems and ensure their timely escalation if required.
  • Identify, arrange, and implement suitable solutions to bugs/problems within our applications landscape.
  • Capture business requirements and implement new functionality, working in partnership with the business for testing.
  • Work with the rest of the team to update support packs and collaborate with SAP to keep up to date with new functionality.

We’ll want you to have experience in a Software Development or Application Support role and great depth of knowledge and demonstrable proficiency in SAP Ariba.  We’d like you have experience with the Software Development Lifecycle.
