EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

We’re looking for a Risk & Compliance Manager who can bring structure, transparency, and assurance to the heart of our Wholesale Market Unit.

This role exists to bring clarity and control to complex environments. It focuses on building strong governance, ensuring market compliance, and driving high‑quality assurance outcomes. You’ll take clear ownership of critical areas such as Non‑Primary Charges, Assuring Market changes and Policy updates, and revenue assurance for allowances and adjustments. It’s a role suited to someone who enjoys problem‑solving, creating structure, and strengthening controls.

What you’ll be responsible for:

In this role, you’ll become the guardian of our market obligations and the driving force behind compliance excellence.

You’ll lead the way in ensuring we meet all L20 and market data standards and developing the assurance frameworks that keep our submissions, adjustments, and audits watertight.

Your focus on policy governance will ensure our allowances, adjustments, tariffs, and operational standards remain current, compliant, properly approved, and version-controlled.

Data Assurance will be another cornerstone of your work. You’ll monitor and report on the accuracy of data across CMOS, SAP, and Temetra, providing meaningful insights that strengthen our decision-making and reduce operational risk.

You’ll also represent WMU in key governance forums, working closely with colleagues across Finance, Commercial, Operations, and other partners to ensure collaboration, transparency, and trust.

A critical part of your remit will be leading BR-MeX Assurance for APR26, owning the full end-to-end process including templates, assurance checks, control testing, evidence validation, and audit pack preparation.

HOW WE WORK

We believe in clarity, accountability, and continuous improvement. Our environment is driven by data, shaped by collaboration, and strengthened by robust governance.

In WMU, we work with pace and purpose, supporting one another to deliver accurate outcomes and maintain full regulatory compliance.

You’ll be joining a team that values integrity, transparency and curiosity, where asking “why?” is just as important as knowing “what’s next?”. If you enjoy building processes that last, improving the way things are done, and ensuring quality in every detail, you’ll thrive with us.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring a strong understanding of market compliance and regulatory frameworks, ideally gained within a regulated environment.

You’ll have experience in governance, assurance or revenue protection and the analytical capability to interpret complex datasets and turn them into actionable insight.

We value people who can shape policies and frameworks with confidence, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and influence decisions across teams. If you can create structure where it’s needed, improve controls where they’re weak, and champion compliance across the board, then you’re exactly who we want to hear from.

HOW WE’LL REWARD AND CARE FOR YOU IN RETURN

It's not just a job; it's a career. We offer benefits that reward great work and award-winning training to help you reach your potential. Plus, you'll contribute to the environment and community too. Here are some of our favourites:
