Join us in making a positive impact on the environment and our communities, while being valued and supported in a truly inclusive workplace.
If you want to do more, because you care, we want you on our team.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
As a FTSE 100 company and one of the biggest regulated water and wastewater providers in England and Wales. We’ve just received an “Outstanding” rating from Ofwat for our latest business plan, which means we’ve secured £15bn to invest in transforming the Midlands’ environment and customer service over the next five years.
We’re proud of our strong relationships with our regulators and always aim to work collaboratively with them. With growing public interest in environmental issues and a major investment programme underway, our regulators are keeping a closer eye on the sector – and we see this as a great opportunity to show leadership and make a real difference.
This is an exciting time to join us as our new Regulation Engagement Lead as we kick off AMP8 – the next five-year phase of our journey – and work closely with regulators to shape how the sector evolves following the Independent Water Commission’s review.
What’s the role about?
This role is all about helping Severn Trent build strong, constructive relationships with our regulators and key stakeholders. You’ll be at the heart of our regulatory engagement – whether it’s responding to price reviews, calls for evidence, or other important submissions – making sure we put our best foot forward and deliver great outcomes for our customers.
What you’ll be doing
- Working closely with senior regulators and supporting our Executive Committee with briefings and meeting prep.
- Building strong connections with new regulatory bodies and helping shape how they work with us.
- Becoming a go-to expert on regulatory changes, offering advice and insight to senior leaders and teams across the business.
- Helping our teams understand what regulators expect, guiding them on what information to provide, and improving how we present our case.
- Drafting key parts of our submissions, making sure they reflect the views of our leadership, legal, and engineering teams.
- Coordinating across teams to gather the best evidence, craft compelling arguments, and meet tight deadlines.
You'll be based at our Severn Trent Centre in Coventry. With this being such a critical role, we’re looking for someone who can join us 37 hours a week.

So, you'll usually find us in the office, but working from home is supported, when you need it.
