We have an opportunity for you to join our Finance team as a Property Accountant. This role supports the Finance Business Partner – Property Development by delivering top-tier financial analysis and reporting for the Property Development Business Unit.


Collaborating with experienced professionals and senior leaders, you'll help foster a strong business partnering culture rooted in challenge and control.


You'll interpret commercial inputs from the Property team to manage the sales pipeline and clarify associated revenues.


Offering broad autonomy and exposure to Senior Management, this position sits at the heart of an exciting and dynamic area of the business

Some of your other key accountabilities will include: 

  • Manage and deliver forecasts, budgets and long range Planning processes.
  • Ensure timely production of monthly actuals and forecasts
  • business and Property Disposal forecast/flash reporting.
  • Collaborate with Group Finance to deliver accurate monthly accounts and variance analysis.
  • Prepare statutory accounts for Non-Regulated entities.
  • Maintain robust budgeting and controls for land/development spend
  • Handle monthly accounting for property disposals, ensuring correct revenue recognition.
  • Analyse cost of sales using SAP
  • Provide financial modelling and sensitivity analysis for planning decisions.
  • Lead tracking/reporting of planning and promotion spend; liaise with site surveyors.

WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR 


The ideal candidate will be an ACA, ACCA, CIMA Qualified Accountant or advanced in their studies towards a recognised CCAB qualification. You will bring strong financial modelling skills and experience handling large datasets using advanced Excel techniques, alongside the ability to work independently and support problem resolution.

 

The role demands sharp analytical and diagnostic capabilities, strong commercial judgment, and the confidence to influence senior stakeholders and challenge constructively. 

 

Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate financial insights for non-finance colleagues are essential. Candidates should also demonstrate initiative in identifying and addressing process gaps.
