You will bring to life the insight produced by the Spills Performance, Reporting and Assurance Teams, engaging with operational teams and wider business functions such as AI&I to produce +24hr spill mitigation strategies. Your role will involve management of the end-to-end process, tracking progress, facilitating feedback, and removing obstacles to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of the plans.

  • Produce Exemption Plans and Incident Action Plans for submission to the Environment Agency
  • Ensure the gathering of evidence such as river inundation and third party influences are accurate and reliable for use within exemption plans.
  • Own relationship with Waste Operational Control Centre, developing and enhancing operational response plans.
  • Identify, manage and escalate risks, issues & interdependencies (E.g. resources, mitigation actions, etc.)
  • Be the conduit for new asks and focus areas in relation to spills
  • Continually challenge and innovate to improve processes and drive continuous improvement with the stakeholders involved.
  • Accountability for collaborative and efficient working between A&I team, workstreams and wider Programme team
  • Work in conjunction with our Programme Management Office to ensure accurate reporting
  • Prepare project quality, control and performance feedback against metrics (such as Solution Tracker Data Quality)
