LET’S CUT STRAIGHT TO IT
We’re looking for a Portfolio Manager – Fast Track Innovation to lead the delivery of our fast-paced innovation portfolio, driving projects from concept to measurable business value in under 12 months.
This is a key leadership role, managing a team of Project Managers delivering innovative solutions and trials covering both digital and operational solutions that support the future of our business.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading end-to-end delivery of a dynamic innovation portfolio
- Driving excellence in Agile delivery and continuous improvement
- Managing priorities, risks, dependencies, and resources across multiple projects
- Ensuring innovation delivers tangible operational and commercial value
- Collaborating with engineers, data scientists, architects, and operational teams
- Providing clear portfolio insights and reporting to senior stakeholders
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience managing complex portfolios or programmes
- Strong leadership experience, with the ability to develop high-performing teams
- Expertise in Agile delivery methodologies
- Experience delivering digital and/or operational transformation
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
- A data-driven, outcome-focused mindset
Desirable:
- Experience in innovation, product development, or continuous improvement
- Background in utilities, engineering, infrastructure, or technology
- Agile and/or project management certifications (e.g. Scrum, SAFe, PRINCE2, MSP, PMP)
