After 11 years leading Severn Trent, our current CEO is moving on, along with her long-standing PA. We’re delighted to announce that James Jesic has been appointed as our new CEO, and we’re now looking for an exceptional PA to provide high-level support in this exciting new chapter. This is a pivotal role requiring discretion, professionalism, and the ability to operate confidently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
As the CEO’s PA, you will take full ownership of diary and inbox management, ensuring priorities are met and time is optimised. You’ll need to anticipate needs, resolve scheduling conflicts, and maintain absolute attention to detail. Acting as the primary contact for stakeholders, you’ll represent the CEO with credibility and care, cultivating trusted relationships and providing a consistently high standard of service
Beyond managing the day-to-day, you will play a key role in supporting strategic initiatives—preparing board packs, creating presentations, and capturing actions from executive meetings. You’ll take responsibility for projects and tasks, driving them through to completion and ensuring deadlines are met.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Serve as an extension of the CEO, representing them with professionalism, while providing trusted, confidential support
- Champion best practice across the PA community and the wider business, acting as a trusted advisor and role model for others
- Full diary and inbox management for the CEO, including prioritisation and conflict resolution.
- Organising appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements, ensuring protected time for strategic work.
- Managing travel arrangements, including booking transport and accommodation
- Preparing high-quality presentations, reports, and board documentation
- Tracking actions arising from STEC, board, and committee meetings
- Undertake regular travel to London to provide board management and coordination, including supporting meetings and related activities
- Acting as a trusted liaison between the CEO and internal/external stakeholders
- Managing events and supporting company initiatives
- Providing finance support when required, including raising purchase orders
- Understanding the CEO’s objectives, priorities, and working style to ensure seamless support
- Covering the Chair’s PA during periods of leave
You'll be based at our Head Office- Severn Trent Centre in Coventry
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Previous experience as a PA to a CEO, with exposure to FTSE scale Board or C-suite level support, would be highly advantageous- ideally gained within a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Exceptional organisational skills, resilience, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging at senior levels.
- Tech-savvy and comfortable using multiple platforms and digital tools.
- A proactive, discreet, and approachable individual who thrives under pressure.
Skills and experience are important, but character, positivity, and a caring attitude matter too.
