We are seeking a Performance Analyst to join our River Enhancement programme at our Coventry Office.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
This critical role within the River Health & Enhancement team ensures the successful delivery of Spills Programme activities to meet our spills performance targets and manage compliance risk.
You will undertake performance assessments around overflow (storm and emergency) at asset, area, and company levels. Supporting the Business Leader and wider teams, you will ensure full tracking of storm overflow performance regarding spills, duration, improvement planning, and compliance risks like dry weather flow, real-time reporting of discharges, and SOAF requirements.
- Lead the development of storm and emergency overflow performance reporting, including spill performance, ODI position and regulatory compliance, ensuring insight is robust, clear and focused on driving improvement.
- Own and continuously improve the Spills Programme performance framework, providing clear visibility of asset-, area- and company‑level trends, risks and opportunities.
- Track, evaluate and challenge delivery of improvement interventions across the spills programme and related workstreams to ensure outcomes remain on track to meet the Storm Overflow Spill ODI.
- Deliver compelling, evidence‑based insight to support in‑year performance against plan, maintaining a forward‑looking view of performance, emerging risks and improvement opportunities.
- Use data‑led challenge to drive continuous improvement in performance and ways of working across the team and wider business.
- Undertake in‑depth analysis of large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns and drivers impacting spills performance and compliance.
- Translate analytical insight into clear, actionable improvement themes, interventions and investment recommendations across spills and related workstreams.
- Act as a trusted analytical partner to operational, strategy, finance and delivery teams, supporting catchment planning, prioritisation and performance management.
- Work collaboratively across the business to improve data quality, governance and consistency, building a shared understanding of performance drivers and evidence requirements.
- Act as gatekeeper and developer of spills performance tools, trackers and dashboards, ensuring data integrity, controlled access and ongoing alignment with business and regulatory needs.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
To succeed in this role, you will bring strong experience in data analysis and analytics, including identifying root causes of complex performance issues and developing evidence‑based solutions. You will be confident in technical report writing and presenting complex analytical insight to a range of audiences, including senior leaders, and have proven experience using ESRI GIS for spatial and catchment‑based analysis alongside building and maintaining Power BI dashboards using large, complex datasets.
You will have a strong track record of improving data quality and governance, developing and embedding new processes into business‑as‑usual, and producing regular performance reports.
Desirably, you will have experience using advanced analytical techniques such as scripting or programming, and using the wider Microsoft suite (including PowerApps and Power Automate) to support process automation and continuous improvement.
