We are searching for a PMO Support to join our team within Technology. This role will directly contribute to the successful delivery of change, through effective and efficient PMO support and assurance across both traditional and agile methodologies.
With proven experience of delivering a wide range of delivery support services, you’ll have the skills and knowledge to conduct project health checks, support audits, facilitate meetings and deliver mentoring/coaching to colleagues across the business.
Your key accountabilities in helping us will be:
- Assure and coach in the application of approved Project Management standards and Agile best practice principles; agreeing action plans to improve maturity.
- Ownership of the Trains Cadence / Drumbeat; including ceremonies, STW specific requirements and reporting commitments.
- Engagement, active participation in and assurance of ceremonies and portfolio / programme reviews.
- Assist Programme and Delivery Teams in the execution of:
- -Financial Control
- -Reporting
- -Risk, Issue and Action Management
- -Benefits / Value Enablement
- -Planning and Estimating
- -Dependency Management
- -Change Control / Backlog Refinement
- Play a key role in and co-ordinate Project Kick Off and PI Planning events.
- Provide training and guidance in the use of STW Project Management & Agile Delivery Tools.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
Of course, it’s important that we attract the right skill sets, and those with the right experience but we value character, positivity and a caring attitude in equal weight.
For you to be successful as our PMO Support, you’ll have previous experience in meeting deadlines within a programme or project environment, and ideally have previously worked within an Agile environment.
We’ll be looking to you to pull on your strong planning, organisation & co-ordination
skills and be an excellent communicator, with the ability to flex your communication style to suit your audience.
We also want you to present a ‘can do’ attitude which will challenge and influence the Programme and Delivery Teams in the adoption of best practice standards.
Exceptional attention to detail is a further requirement for this role, as is the ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders.
Knowledge of SAP, MS products, Jira and a range of planning tools is ideal, alongside knowledge of project management principles, methods and techniques (Waterfall and Agile).
