EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
Our Network Control team have an opportunity for you to join as our new Network Controller.
The role itself will play a critical part in securing, managing and prioritising waste tanker needs across the Severn Trent business to undertake both planned work to prevent and reduce the impact of floodings and pollutions. Within this role you will build strong working relationships with waste field teams, proactively focusing on their needs by delivering a right first-time solution, implementing initiatives aimed at improving KPI performance on pollutions and flooding.
Typical hours are:
AM 06:00 – 14:00
Day 08:00 – 15:30
Flex 07:30 – 15:30
PM 13:30 – 21:30
The job will be working in a team also supported by 24/7 waste network controllers and telemetry technicians.
Some of your other key accountabilities will include:
• Manage logistic schedules on reactive (unplanned) basis through close liaison with relevant stakeholders to maximise tanker resource efficiency whilst ensuring high levels of customer service.
• Manage/plan and communicate tanker schedules to relevant personnel / depts.
• Ensure all operations planned are compliant with all legal requirements & company polices.
• Proactively manage and enhance both the internal and external relationship with all key parties including contractors, STW teams, COSC, Asset delivery and other supporting departments
• Manage incidents/events as per STW policy and procedures, ensure the decisions made are communicated through to operations, Internal Customers, Contractors and other stakeholders.
• Produce post incident reports and present them to the relevant stakeholders.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
We’re seeking our new Network Controller to be comfortable using Microsoft Office and SAP systems as well as having the ability to articulate and interpret technical information and specifications. It is essential that you have experience of building and developing effective relationships with stakeholders. You must also hold a full UK driving licence.
