EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
Here at Severn Trent, our Fleet Maintenance Scheduler role is key to keeping our operations running smoothly. You’ll be responsible for coordinating our operational and fleet maintenance requirements, effectively scheduling delivery with our workshops and selected external repair network.
You’ll manage the maintenance schedule to ensure customer, regulatory and business needs are proactively met, while maximising day-to-day performance across our workshop estate. This role is all about delivering a seamless and effective service offering to our customers and building strong relationships across the region.
Key Accountabilities within the role include:
- Coordinating repair appointments and allocating time slots based on technician availability and customer needs
- Developing and maintaining repair schedules to optimise technician utilisation
- Monitoring and updating schedules to accommodate urgent repairs or priority changes
- Assigning bookings based on technician skills and workload capacity
- Managing inventory parts and accessories with workshop teams
- Communicating with customers regarding appointments, progress updates and queries
- Providing exceptional customer service throughout the repair process
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains
- Analysing data to measure performance and recommend improvements
- Maintaining accurate records of repair activities and inventory usage
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
We’re ideally looking for someone with proven experience in scheduling, planning or operations management, preferably in a mobile repair or technical environment. You’ll be highly organised, with excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with technicians, customers and stakeholders.
You’ll also bring:
- Knowledge of fleet sector operations and DVSA standards
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and scheduling software
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Ability to self-manage and adapt to a fast-paced environment
- A valid UK Driving Licence
- GCSEs (A-C) in Maths and English or equivalent
