Join us as a Finance Performance Analyst – Capex Planning and Strategy. Shape the Future of AMP8.

 

Are you passionate about turning data into decisions? Do you thrive in a collaborative environment where your insights can drive real change? We’re looking for a talented and proactive finance professional to join our Capital Programme team as we embark on an exciting phase of increased investment for AMP8 (Asset Management Period 8 refers to the eighth upcoming cycle of this regulatory framework, which runs from April 2025 to 2030).

 

In this dynamic role, you’ll be at the heart of our financial reporting function, working closely with the Capital Programme Controller, Finance Business Partners, and senior leaders. Your work will help shape strategic decisions through high-quality data analysis, visualisation, and scenario modelling – all with a strong focus on automation and continuous improvement.

 

What you’ll be doing:

 

  • Delivering accurate, timely financial insights that support planning, governance, and strategic choices.
  • Aligning key stakeholders across TAP, CCS, and FP&A to maintain a consistent financial narrative.
  • Enhancing data quality and visibility through exception reporting and compliance tracking.
  • Supporting monthly reporting cycles and contributing to outcome-based metrics that link financials to programme success.
  • Partnering with Finance Business Partners to support Capex planning and budgeting.
  • Providing inflation and pricing analysis to inform key forums and steerco discussions.

 

You'll be based at our Severn Trent Centre in Coventry. With this being such a critical role, we’re looking for someone who can join us 37 hours a week.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

 

What you’ll bring:

 

  • Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Power BI.
  • Experience in capital programme reporting and regulatory environments (desirable).
  • A solid understanding of Ofwat’s regulatory model and AMP8 plans.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to juggle priorities and deliver under pressure.
  • A collaborative mindset with the confidence to work independently and contribute to wider strategic initiatives.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Financially qualified.
