An exciting newly created role leading the management and reporting of ODI (Outcome delivery incentives) performance. The ideal candidate will not be afraid to challenge the status quo, have the ability to influence and build close relationships with various stakeholders, including senior management in Finance and Operations; This role will be responsible for leading the transformation of all reporting on ODI performance and establish an alignment between cost and ODI performance.

 

What is an OBI in the water industry; Ensuring we meet customer needs. Customer Outcome Delivery Incentives (ODIs) are a measure used by Ofwat to monitor our performance. They are designed with customers to make sure our objectives align with things that matter most to them.

 

What this role is all about:

  • Partnering with Finance and Ops teams to keep ODI reporting on track throughout the year.
  • Making sure everyone’s aligned—especially Finance and Operations—on what ODI rewards we’re expecting.
  • Leading the charge on transforming how we manage ODI finances, including setting up clear monthly and year-to-date reporting.
  • Building detailed quarterly forecasts for each ODI measure, so we stay ahead of the curve.
  • Finding smarter ways to report ODIs, aiming for one consistent version of the truth across the board.
  • Working closely with Finance Business Partners to ensure cost forecasts and ODI forecasts are in sync.
  • Helping shape Board papers for the Operations Director, showcasing ODI performance clearly and confidently.
  • Keeping a close eye on risks and opportunities, making sure nothing slips through the cracks.

 

You'll be based at our Severn Trent Centre in Coventry.  With this being such a critical role, we’re looking for someone who can join us 37 hours a week.

What You Bring

 

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Ideally, you're a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)—but it’s not a dealbreaker.
  • You’re confident with Excel and can work with complex data sets.
  • You’ve got a track record of making things better—processes, systems, or ways of working.

 

Experience:

  • You’ve worked with a wide range of stakeholders, both inside and outside finance.
  • You know how to drive system-led reporting and make it work for the business.
  • You’ve built strong networks across the organisation—and know how to use them.
