EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW


Our Chief Engineer, Water Resources team have an excellent opportunity to join as our new Demand Strategy Analyst.

 
In this role you’ll lead the successful development of future water demand reduction options for our Water Resources Management Plan and upcoming price review submissions. This includes delivering robust technical analysis to ensure our schemes are ambitious, innovative, and developed collaboratively.

 

Additionally, the role involves securing funding for long-term commitments and clearly demonstrating to stakeholders, customers, and regulators that our plans offer best value.

 

Key accountabilities include:

  • Develop and define long-term water demand reduction options, including cost, carbon, and benefit assessments, supported by robust evidence for regulatory approval.

  • Provide strategic leadership aligned with government policy and regulatory guidance, while overseeing demand monitoring and adaptive planning processes.

  • Review, challenge, and advocate for demand reduction evidence and options across the business, ensuring clarity on contributions to future targets.

  • Lead collaborative trials and innovation projects, including non-household demand initiatives and Ofwat-funded efficiency schemes, to support AMP9 and beyond.


WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE 

As our Demand Strategy Analyst, you’ll have knowledge of water resources, demand reduction opportunities and be able to build effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

As well as this, you’ll have proven ability to conduct thorough analysis and be able to influence both internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, to support our planning initiatives.
